“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, not many wise, mighty and noble are called and no flesh shall glory in his own presence…”
“That, according as it is written, He that glorified, let him glorify the Lord.”
1 corinthians 1:31
Danny wondered as he set across from God in prayer and ask, “through all these years God have I, do I, am I falling short of glorifying you?” “Lord, God, make it clear to me what it means to glorify you?”
glorify- to exalt, praise and honor. magnify, a celestial happiness. doing super-natural things in the mind and heart
Danny felt defeated. He studied on and God began to use words to whisper lessons of how to Glory..
Believing in the Gospel is supernatural
The Decisions we make can truly be glorifying to God
Our Responce as we go through trials, we can bring glory to God.
Believing
Decisions
Righteousness goes against the flow of our world. It’s unnatural to say no to sin and to live in a way that one sets their eyes on eternity.
Trials
Paul was unjustly in prison, maligned by believers, had to face the most wicked, unjust Nero. Unbearable? Yes. Near suicidal? easily, but Paul rejoiced. Phil. 1:18 kjv
Danny knew that glorifying God is not something one can drum up on the fly. In light of eternity one must satuate yourself with the word of God, enabled by the Holy Spirit to live with eternity in view… Danny wanted this, and too for one’s around him to hear his belief’s, watch his decisions and observe his responces to trials and be prompted to worship God, for His power to enable lives in a supernatural way.
Danny now saw the ability to glorify God would reach it’s apex when he reached heaven. Not only because we would be perfect, but because the angels upon seeing him reach heaven, will remember how spiritually bankrupt he was and will know that it is only by the grace of God that he was there. That will fuel their worship of God for eternity..
Danny got his prayer answered through God’s Word.. To know God better and to love him more, was his assignment. And when temptation lurks and trials come, he learned how to live supernaturally, and those around him would be encouraged and propelled to worship God more…..
